With all the thread deletions of late I am surprised this one is still up. There is some serious inconsistency in the application of the "no politics" rule.

Gun politics, 100% allowed. ;)

It's not about being fair or equal to the left or right when the politics involve guns, the fault is their own and we won't let the subject be squashed just because it may look bad for left or right.

When subjects go off track then clean up is one of our options to help save a thread.

Interesting that so many people here think that Hillary Clinton was working for the G. W. Bush administration!
After all, that's when the Gunwalker/Gunrunner scandal started:

That releases the Obama administration and Holder from responsibility for knowingly allowing illegal purchases how?

Clean up is one thing but deletion has been the rule and not an "option." I know you're convinced otherwise but this thread really is no different than the other threads that had guns with politics involved. Wish I could prove it but the threads were deleted as an "option."

BREAKING: Senate votes unanimously against funding F&F-type operations

The United States Senate voted Tuesday afternoon 99-0 to prohibit funding for any programs similar to Operation Fast and Furious that use “gun walking” as an investigative tool, amounting to a legislative slap in the face to the Department of Justice and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

So, does anyone actually believe that this will stop them from doing it again?

Maybe not, but they're gonna have a heck of a time explaining themselves.

And now look who they're looking at:

Grassley, Issa zero in on FBI over Fast & Furious

Senator Charles Grassley and Congressman Darrell Issa have shifted the focus of their continuing probe into Operation Fast and Furious to the FBI, and on Thursday sent a letter to Director Robert Mueller, seeking specific information about the investigation.

No, it isn't
Gunrunner began under Bush. And under Bush, interdictions were up and so were prosecutions for gun crimes.

Fast and Furious started in fall 2009 with a boost of about $10 mil in "Stimulus" money from the Obama admin and the Dem-controlled House and Senate. Republicans didn't take over in the House until January of this year.

F&F is entirely owned by Obama and his admin, including Eric Holder.
