My new-to-me S&W m66 (no dash)

Here is the model 66 I was talking about in the other thread. I finally talked him out of it and I am happy I did...even though I had to pay premium price for it ($650). He did throw in a box of "Super-X" .357mag rounds. I had never heard of them but he says they are some good and hot ammo. I assume. they are re-packings of the Winchester Super-X's.

You could have a 686 + 7 shot if you really want. Why the prelock? just don't use the key or I could solder the hole for you for free.

I like the older pre-locks, plus I like the firing pin on the hammer, and the fact that you cant get them new anymore (with the exception of the 442, and 642 no locks)

I have not decided. It is between these two at the moment.

I have owned several hundred guns. My most accurate sidearm ever was a 4" M66. One hole 6-shot groups at 50-ft., more than once. Swapped to to my brother for a 6-inch M57 (a beauty). I miss the 66.

Just may be the best all-around revolver ever made.
