How about including "Search This Thread" in that same area?



Also, under the Menu, include the Mark Forums read / Mark All Forums read

I like the idea of a link to search that forum. You can click the nav menu on the top left and it'll pull up the option to search just the section you're in, but a quick link would be useful. We'd make it simply open that nav menu with a focus on the search box, so you could start typing.
