What's reasonable price wise? How far out are you looking to shoot?

If you want inexpensive place better glass over higher magnification and zoom. The SWFA Super Sniper 8x is combat proven and can be had for under $300 if that is your budget. Find the Sniper 101 series by Tiberasaurus Rex on YouTube and watch the whole thing. There is a great episode on scope selection that covers various price points.

Cool - forgot to mention that if you watch the whole series, when he gets to cartridge selection you will like what he has to say about the 7mm Mag.

Weaver makes some really nice scopes that are moderately priced and have good power. I got one of these when they were selling for around $350. Good scopes for the money.
I have mine on my Ruger precision.
