Looking for a budget friendly fixed power rifle scope for my Savage Hog Hunter - Any suggestions?

I'm kind of surprised that I'm having difficulty finding a fixed power scope with no more than 6X magnification (4X would be ideal) for under $175.00.

Any ideas?

I like the older Leupold 4x or 6x scopes. They can (or at least could) be found used for about your price range if you look diligently, at least a few years ago. As with nearly everything, may be more difficult to find, or cost a bit more in current times.

Good quality, and lifetime warranty by an Oregon company.

Leupold FX-II 4x33 w/ obj Alumina flip cover, parallax set to 75 yards TRADE ADDED

Sold the rifle minus the scope :) VXII 4x that I had Leupold adjust the parallax to 75 yards back when they did things like that. Was mounted with Leupold Rifleman rings and there are no ring marks. Leupold Alumina flip covers on the front lens. Here is the scope on the rifle that I sold

I'd look for a 10x Simmons. Some folks may laugh, but I've made 850 yard head shots with that scope on my .308 heavy gun.

Pretty sure he's hunting piggies from close to intermediate distances. 10X is really bad for those 10 to 20 yard quick shots. 4X is great for that and 200 yards.

Nikon no longer makes its 3x32 but it has good glass and usually ebay has them to bid on. I've had mine for years.

Older Leupold would be sweet if you can find one on ebay for that price.

They made tons of them.
