Ruger. Because it's a Ruger.Hi, I miss my sig emperor scorpion and am hoping to some day soon reclaim a 1911.. if you had a budget of 2k or less… what would you buy, if you could only buy one, 1911 for the rest of your life? And Why?
Appreciate any feedback or thoughts from you sexy mother lovers, I always learn something new from you all, stay shooting my friends.
For real!!I don't understand the concept of only one.
Why only carry one of those if you've got two!?!?How about having two of the same nice light weight carry one, that counts doesn't it? Of course I cant imagine just having one 1911 that's just foolish talk.

I almost never see anyone let go of an Ed Brown. Nighthawks come around often enough, sometimes well worn, occasionally near new.I'd look for a used Ed Brown or Nighthawk, no doubt.
That's why you're my hero…How about having two of the same nice light weight carry one, that counts doesn't it? Of course I cant imagine just having one 1911 that's just foolish talk.

Amen. I wouldn't dream of letting mine go. Nighthawks have come into my life and never stayed long.I almost never see anyone let go of an Ed Brown. Nighthawks come around often enough, sometimes well worn, occasionally near new.
Think about evidence, in a self defense shooting, you want the local law enforcers taking care of your $3k, self defense handgun? It's better to carry something more practical and mainstream.Dan Wesson, unless it had to be left at a crime scene, then Rock Armory.
(joking of course)
Early production Springfield mil spec is a great value. That thin park( or faux parkerized?) really sucks. Everything else is minimalist perfection.I don't have any complaints with my Springfield 1911's but I'm not an elitist, I have Glocks too...
