It's like if we had an organization that supported our views with public messaging in order to educate and rally voters we could change views and laws...

How are you going to get an organization to do that when the people refuse to do anything? The problem is the voters. WAY too many gun owners either do not bother to vote, or they vote for people who are trying to take their rights. They will fight with each other and then if the candidate they wanted does not end up on the ticket they take their ball and go home. You can't organize people who refuse to vote.
