I have an AP and it is about 2 years old. I bought it new and it has the newer subplate on it (#398309R). It has never been abused and while using it a piece of it broke off. It is where the spring attaches into the hole on the plate. Is this a known issue or just a bad plate? I have an email out and am hoping they will replace for free but I never did the warranty registration. While using I had made almost 300 that evening with no issues then it broke. No force or nothing jamming. Dunno

Obviously you need to cut back on the Wheaties!

I don't know Hornady presses, but all the big names seem great about customer service.
I wouldn't be surprised if a new part is on its way.
Good luck!

Joe

Email if you must but best responses come from picking up the phone. I will be stunned if Hornady does not immediately get you a new one. I've been cranking ammo on my LnL AP since 2008 or so, used to hang out on different reloading forums, and I don't recall I ever heard of subplate cracking.
