Hornady LnL AP - Cracked Subplate

I have an AP and it is about 2 years old. I bought it new and it has the newer subplate on it (#398309R). It has never been abused and while using it a piece of it broke off. It is where the spring attaches into the hole on the plate. Is this a known issue or just a bad plate? I have an email...
