Hey guys/gals. I found what appears to be a 38 special round, but is marked: "M7433"(best I can read) Can't find it online.

I think it may be an old govt round? Stumped

That 'M' is actually a 'W' and the two 3's look like obliterated
'C's - which would be Winchester Cartridge Corporation and a 1974 dated round.

It's probably reloaded as military .38 Special ammo was typically 130 grain FMJ RN.

Back in the 90's I bought a lot of 38 Special 1340 gr FMJ roundnose ammo that had headstamps like this.
This looks like a 158gr SWC reload.
