There is a form that states the trustee has provisional use of said assets.
It's signed by the Settlor and grants limited possession to the trustee for a dated time frame. (let's say a weekend.)
A copy of the trust should also be in the possession of trustee.
 
you can grant use of the trust item to trustees, however the legality of this action can easily be trumped by law. in other words, trustee possession is provisional if the trustee is not disqualified by law
