How did you handle the Rattlers top mounted rods? The brace covers that part of the pic. I once heard someone make noises about an adaptor that would allow MCX uppers on standard lowers, but I never tracked one down or even confirmed it.

I mounted my Rattler upper to one of my lowers but I never had the stones to run it for fear of damaging the operating system. I will say that, on its lower, with an AAC SR7 that gun is outrageously fun to shoot. Almost movie quiet with subs after the first round. :D

Just ran down to PSA in Columbia. They have the same stuff in the store as they have online and their shelves are organized just about as good as their online store as in not at all. Best prices on ammo Ive seen though. Pretty girls behind the counter who didnt pretend to know what they were talking about . All in all a good trip. I like pretty girls.

I'd rather have pretty help who knew nothing and admitted they knew nothing than not pretty help who pretended to know something and didn't.

The SIG rattler kit comes with the adapter which I hear re rare as hens teeth if you dont buy the whole kit. Osage had the kits on sale for $1300 or so a few weeks back and I snapped one up.

I had one built into on an SBR lower and when I thought I was moving to California I sold the kit to a friend for what I paid for it. This is a replacement for that but I built it on standard lower as a pistol because it just doesnt make send to build SBR's any more with the variety of good "pistol" braces out there.

Gotcha. I picked mine up whole. I guess I'm going hunting hens teeth. But thanks for confirming the adaptor actually exists!

Oh they exist but good luck finding one without the whole kit. I wonder how SIG stays in business sometimes. I like their products but everything they make seems to be a limited edition. Colt is worse.

I was in BiMart buying a Winchester XPR in .270. I always check the bolt to receiver fit. This "lady" was hanging over the counter while I was trying to insert the bolt with the rifle pointed up. If you don't have one, it can be a difficult process with the three lug. I got it stuck and was fixing it on top of the box when the old lady yelled at me for sweeping her with the gun - brand new still in box and bolt retracted. Luckily the counter man jumped in and told her that if she would back off the counter, the weapon would not be pointed at her, and explained that I was just testing the bolt - common and recommended. She turned red and left. I could tell that she either just completed a gun safety course or spent too much time on the internet. In her defense, I should have told her to move back while I was doing this, but I did thank the counterman.

Wow. I mean wow!

Guy deserves a few kicks in the nads with steal toes. And I do not utilities that punishment all "Willy Nilly" and such.

It's guys like him which get all of the rest of us in a bad light, when his "unloaded" firearm wounds/mames/kills himself or an innocent.

Jackass!!

Attend a consumer show like the NRA annual meeting. You will see things you never would have thought gun owners would do.
