CMP will not be selling nice 1911's. If they have any nice examples they will be sold at auction for $2000+ or so?

My two Colts. One Ithaca. and one Rem. Rand. came from private collections. And they took 15 years to find.

Can't wait for this. I understand that the slides on WWII 1911's were not completely hardened and only have a service life of approx 5K rounds. With this in mind, if I would get a desirable 1911 it would sit as a safe queen. All other 1911's would be fired once a month for 1 full 7 round magazine.
