I think it's interesting that the bridge itself is not connected securely to the pillars keeping it WAY up there. It's just resting on top of them. I understand there are reasons for that. Think about that when your driving across one of those kinds of bridges?

When I applied to ODOT, they asked what areas of ODOT I was interested. I put "whale demolition". I'm not sure why they never called me back... Too soon?

I like to watch the shows on failed explosions / implosions and what is amazing to me is how the huge cement buildings, many times just blast into vey small bits, just formt he toppling (and of course the initial explosion)...
