Fixed takedown spring

I saw an article about threading the lower and putting an allen set screw in, to hold a shortened takedown spring in the lower, so it doesn't escape, while changing stocks.

Any opinions?

done all the time you will need a 4-40 tap,handle, set screw. quick and easy, solves potential problems.

Yeah I did it with my first build, worked great, just have to take your time with the tap and do a tiny amount at a time because the last thing you want to do is leave some of the tap in the hole.

I have done it to most of mine. Not really a big deal unless you pull your stock off often though.

Remember you will need to cut down your spring too.
