Was at the range during the summer of 2022 and a young guy was bringing his brand-new AK variant rifle to shoot for the first time. I was about 3 or 4 bays to his right and after about three shots thought I had a fly or bee fly by me. About two more shots in, I had something hit my bicep hard enough to draw blood. It turned out that the comp had exited to the great beyond and that part of the crush washer did in fact develop a crush on me.

Although the situation was both sad and scary, the funny thing was watching the guy walking 100 yards up and back multiple times during the shoot breaks looking for the lost part (like he could ever just find it and re-install it.)
