The wife and I are on vacation in Whitefish Montana right now. Doing Glacier National Park. I picked up" BIG BABY" on our way out of town.
I've been dying to break her in, but we've been doing the Park thing. We did a motorcycle ride around Flathead Lake today, and had some time left in the day, so SHE suggested we get some range time.
Called Cabelas and got a suggestion on a local spot in the woods.
I did a field cleaning with some Hoppes CLP.
She is definitely a virgin!

We did the boat rental in Flathead a couple years back, curious how the views were from the road. The road seemed distant for a good portion of the lake. What did you think of Whitefish? I thought it was like a big "Sisters" Oregon.

IT WASN'T THE TISAS.
It was the Girsan. My dealer had nothing but praise for the Girsans that he'd sold. But mine was the 1st HUNTER 6" that he had in his shop.
In my experience, I'd say go for it, but insist that it comes from the wholesaler Davidson's.
Their LIFETIME GUARANTEE saved my butt.
Another vote for Davidson's. We have bought a couple guns from them directly. They let you chose the FFL to send it to. One place shafted Wife when she went to pick up the gun. She fired off an E-Mail to Davidson's that I expected at best would get some caned response. Damned if they did not call her, and send her a check to make up for the shafting the FFL had pulled. Outstanding customer service.

I have been on the fence about adding a 10mm to my collection. Cant decide if i want the Sig legion 220 or the dan wesson bruin (or kodiak) the DW razorback looks like a winner as well, but i think i'd be happier with a longer barrel? Any body with the DW models able to share experiences?

I started with the Razorback, added an original VBOB, got a VALKYRIE, sold my VBOB for the newer VBOB, added a VALOR, sold the VALOR to buy a SPECIALIST. All 10MM except the VALKYRIE.

To say that I'm a fan is an under statement.

I've been getting S&B 180fmj pretty cheap @ $20 a box.
Great range ammo.
Underwood is my field grade. Awesome stuff and great service.

May I ask why you "need " a 6"?
My 4.25" VBOB is my favorite.
When I'm out hiking/dirt biking/jeepin/fishing, my Springfield Armory XDm Elite Compact is my 1st choice.

i'd like to see the 10mm reach its full potential. I have 'heard' (DW web site) the 6 in bbl on the kodiak/bruin line does this. Plus the extra length helps reduce muzzle flip and felt recoil. I don't outdoors as much as you, so the 6' isnt that big a deal for me.
I have 3 DW's (Valor, Valor V-Bob and Guardian). I'm a huge Dan Fan.
But when I feel the need to carry, its my K6 I reach for

I could see a ten mil possibly sometime in my future.
I see a gp100 match champion currently stalled out at $779

I had better close up the laptop for today

Underwood has some fantastic loadings.
Go to YouTube and check "The Turkeys Opinion ". His 10mm ammo test are very informative.

was going to get the kodiak, but found a razorback. went with that one.
You won't regret that choice. The savings are worthwhile and it's still a fine weapon.

Check out DACK OUTDOORS for your ammo. That's where I get my range ammo. Just be aware that they might take awhile to ship. I've made 3 orders. The 1st 2 took 4 weeks and 6 weeks. But I already had plenty. The $20 per was worth it.
