Very familiar with El Dorado County, not surprising at all. I grew up partially there, then the SF bay area. El Dorado county SD is essentially shall issue and a friend of gun owners. There was / is a thread on calguns about a over-zealous federal employee in the el dorado national forest harassing folks lawfully shooting. I have spent alot of time back there exploring in my truck and shooting and never had a issue, but lots of other calgunners had. The sheriff got word of this and " stepped in" .

Should be interesting.

Beautifull rugged country. The Sierras are one of the few things I miss about California. Now I spend most of my free time doing the same in the Cascades, not fearing harassment either... Completely different up here, LOVE it.

I didn't read the comment so I do not know the context but Kamala Harris is the CA AG. She is a real piece of work. Former SF DA, sigh... Don't want to go down that road and thread jack.... Unsure if this is your Harris or not.
