However...many of today's Socialist's march and demonstrate while carrying banners and flags from those Communist countries.
it always ends up being enforced at gun point
All the while having their people risk life and limb to escape their hellholes.Failures of Socialism.
Well now...
If Socialism was so damn good...
Then why did most Communist countries need miles of razor wire , walls , fences , mines and guards to keep people in their country..?
Communism, socialism, Marxism...call it whatever you* want, they are all cut from the same filthy rag. Their record of tyranny and oppression speaks for itself.Granted , many of those Communist counties were Socialist in name only.
However...many of today's Socialist's march and demonstrate while carrying banners and flags from those Communist countries.
So my question is still valid.

Many are concerned and work who are not control freaks. As always just follow the money. When "leaders" of a cause like this fly around in private jets and live in multiple large homes? They easy to see do not believe anything they are saying. What they do believe is using whatever works to get people to go along with being controlled. The people who follow the leaders like this are just the useful idiots.I have been poking around in some of the anti-consumption forums and environmentalist forums lately and unfortunately it seems that many in there are closet (or open) socialism proponents. I wish we could give a hoot about the environment without being immersed in trojan horse socialism.
Since you chose to include nothing with your post have no idea what if anything you read. Now if it was one of the many articles telling all how well Socialism has worked in places that tried it? Then yes it would be aimed at some VERY low IQ's.That was the most low IQ article I've ever read and I've read a great deal of national review articles! Anything that decides to quote Jordan Peterson, the "academic" who decided to prep for a debate with a Lacanian-Hegelian by skimming the communist manifesto is an immediate toss into the trash can
The only way socialism "failed" in the former Russian empire is that it failed to spark a worldwide revolution once the German revolution failed. You can look at the raw numbers of life expectancy and maternal mortality and other life quality indicators from 1913 compared to even the late Stalin years and it's night and day. They were able to build modern countries under adverse conditions and usually complete trade embargoes. Meanwhile the US has large sections of the south without plumbing and electricity 160 years after the civil warSince you chose to include nothing with your post have no idea what if anything you read. LOL, ok sure. Its working GREAT every other place they tried it. Russia was switched undemocratically to "shock therapy capitalism" and immediately became poorer, wealth inequality became massive, life expectancy plummeted harder than it did during the Second World War (!) and became the favorite spot of noted capitalist pedophile Jeff Epstein to pick up woman to pimp out to his fellow oligarch capitalist friends. Is that a capitalist success story?LOL, ok sure. Its working GREAT every other place they tried it. Low IQ is right.
How about we delineate this question into two?The easiest comparison is Korea. They were one country, one culture. They divided up into North and South, Communist and Capitalist.
The differences in where they are now is astounding. One Korea is a third world disaster where the government has to put up fences to keep people in, the other is an economic powerhouse.
In which Korea would you rather live?
Okay, we have very different perspectives on what constitutes quality of life.I would much rather live in North Korea
Never said that. I'm sorry you can't read.Okay, we have very different perspectives on what constitutes quality of life.
However, on one hand you are saying the economic prosperity of the people is not of consequence, and then you say you would live in North Korea if the (economic!) trade embargoes were lifted. Why wouldn't you move there right now if the non-economic life factors are superior?
Meanwhile, please keep replying to the thread. It keeps it near the top where it will get more views.
The hell does that even mean?Lacanian-Hegelian
I guess that boy didn't want to debate after all.I never said that. I'm sorry you can't read.
Thank you!Meanwhile, please keep replying to the thread. It keeps it near the top where it will get more views.
This all one needs to know about the two...How about we delineate this question into two?
North Korea from 1953-1989, despite being a "failed socialist" "hellhole" North Korea was still by every conceivable metric the better place to live during this time frame despite being bombed to cinders by incompetent general MacArthur. Despite receiving a fraction of the aid that South Korea did it was able to build a much more robust economy than its southern neighbor and maintained that until its trading bloc was dissolved by the United States. It was also was and still is the legal government of the whole Korean Peninsula, but unfortunately the American occupation forces didn't like that so they helped the South Koreans kill a couple hundred thousand people in the bodo league and Jeju island massacres
South Korea from 1989 until now. However, if illegal trade embargoes were lifted I would much rather live in North Korea. I think it reflects poorly on you that your idea of capitalist success is the country with the highest suicide rate in the world, highest elderly homelessness rate, a valid, moribund culture, and agriculture that depends on immigrants and mentally handicapped people in debt bondage.
