Because all that is run by that nutjob Inslee. What I don't understand is why fishing is closed. There are boats, canoes and jet skiers out on the water.
Because all that is run by that nutjob Inslee.
So, in short, give LEO & first responders a break. They're stretched thin as is. Moreso now that we're in the midst of non-normalcy.
Your not missing anything. I agree 1000%.Not being snarky here, but, LEO and first responders are stretched thin? From what? I mean, I haven't been watching news for three weeks or so? But when I've heard bits and pieces there has been no mention of a bunch of horrible things happening that has LEOs and first reponders running from incident to incident? As a matter of fact, talking to an emergency room doc friend of mine he's pretty much been at peace with the world without all the people thinking they have emergencies when they don't, flocking to his emergency room during his 12 hour shifts. Are they all sent home? Still getting paid? If someone on a hike falls is there no county sheriff's rescue team available? All helicopters and ambulances shuttled, locked away?
Maybe I'm missing something?
While I agree with you for the most part, your missing the big picture the areas they have closed only make a fraction of the whole forest all that green area is still open. If you want to hike go to a closed gate and walk that road or just park somewhere and start hiking, you can intersect trails just dont park right by the trail head. You can pull over anywhere you have a earthen back stop with a safe sight distance and start shooting! Again not that I agree, but if they left those areas open they would be packed with people camping and hiking just like they did at the coast and Columbia Gorge.
Stay safe and go have some fun!!!

I'm not saying it isn't STOOPID to go to the beach in a traffic jam and all pile out on the beach. But what the hell is it going to hurt for you and the wife/kids drive to a place in the forest, pull over where there's another car or three, and cut yourself a trail in the forest for an hour or so? Wifey and I did just that over Mt Hood last week. No one else in sight. Had we chosen to park and walk over a snowbank down toward Clear Lake or Trillium we'd have been completely alone. Except I feared Johnny Law would have given me a hard time! Or a ticket. We didn't see any LEOS, but my luck, we would have been made an example of. I HATE that!
Wait , what? I thought you were supposed to die because this a 'novel virus' and that term along with social shaming should have done you in. You must have 'gravitas' like Dick Cheney...Sorry but I'm done with the people over playing this Virus.
I pretty much know I had it in December. Our circle of friends just got tested and she was positive. Most of us got sick. And we moved on.
Personal opinion you go out to the woods and screw up after being requested to stay home during this sickness dont expect someone to put themselves or their family at risk due your ignorance
There are libertarians and there are libertines. You speak of the latter. As long as they can continue their orgies, obsess over their porn, weed and cross dressing, they think they are free. America is a great nation because those liberties exist.
Libertines are people with no moral compass. Typically the word is used in reference to people and their sexual appetite. A former OR governor and President come to mind. It extends way beyond hedonism.I'll be.
Call me slowjoe Cuz I no comprende.
