Saw an elk herd today at Hagg Lake in Forest of about 75. They were on Private property. Milpond and East pond before the Stimpson factory, any one have info on these and how to get near these guys come elk season?
There always there they know there safe but come elk season just sit and wait till the cross the street once they cross it there fair game and yes they do cross it but it takes awhile
You and about 150 other guys, with their "honey hole/sweet spot", will be pushing that herd on opening day. They get pushed so often and "know" the safe areas for them. I've lived out here for years and haven't heard of anyone getting anything from them in at least that long.
