Same one I have for sale.
I was toying around with some processed 5.56 LC brass yesterday and was pleased that the runout was consistently very low.
Well the results from todays range session definitely shed some light on the subject. Does less run out equate to smaller group size? Definitely maybe, lol. It was subtle comparing ammo with less than .001" run out to ammo with less than .006". In one case the lower ro group was better, in another case they were about the same. What did strike me was the group shape was better in both cases with the lower ro ammo. Also when you compare low ro ammo to ammo with .008" or more ro, there is a definite difference with the group sizes. Results not earth shaking but interesting. I do not regret getting the tools to make better quality reloaded ammo. Here is a pic of the target with two 5 shot groups using the same recipe. Left group had .004-.006" ro and the right group had less than .001" ro. This is 6.5 cm shot through my cva shorty project.
