-Man purchased firearm from Washington

If i didnt know better ide say somethings not adding up in the DA's story

In order to ban guns you have to ban the knowledge on how to make them.

In the age of internet, good luck:D

Its why they want to ban the general public from owning 3D printers, because as those advance you can make everything but powder and primers to build a gun and the ammo to feed it. Once 3D printers hit that point, gun laws are useless.

Why build a 4000$ ar10 when you can buy a 4000$ 3D printer and print 10 of them:D

Who was the french guy that built a gun from a hardware store as a protest? They should name it after him

We've actually been past that point for a long time. While 3D printers are all the buzz now, affordable lathes and mills have been available for decades that can be used to make all the parts of a gun from steel, not just the plastic that can be done on an affordable 3D printer. It's just that the "antis" generally don't come from the world where things are made so they have no concept of the possibilities.

Lathes and mills and cnc machines require a lot more skill. A 3D printer requires far less mechanical skill. Upload your file, probably downloaded from somewhere/someone else and you're off and running. You can print a reveiver today, yes, but its of limited strength. Give it another generation of the tech and the process and materials will be faster, cheaper, and better.

Not sure how that will work out once such files are treated like kiddie porn. Metal printers already exist but I don't think affordable is in their description. Plus they have considerable post processing to make the printed part usable. Most of a "3D printed gun" is still conventionally made metal parts.

Right, you're thinking current gen stuff, I am talking another evolution or two of the tech where parts will be stronger, with less finish work. Heat treating may still be necessary fir things like barrel and hammers, but its not hard to make a furnace.

Metal printers have bedn around a while I know, Jay Leno has one he makes otherwise unobtainable parts for his classics with.

And even if the feds try to make 3d part files like kiddie porn, how will that really effect anything? Every day we hear of dudes busted with thousands of files of kiddie porn. That stuff may be radioactive, but its keystrokes away anyway. Till they kill the Internet, theres no putting the genie back in the bottle.

So their battle cry is still, "close all of the loopholes". They're still doing nothing about bad people doing bad things. All the progressive Marxist's can do is scream about removing the rights of the law abiding.
What about all of their children who die from heroin, meth, etc? They seem to have no problem legalizing deadly drugs and spending tax payer dollars giving them places to use them. Seems to me that more people die from drug use daily than from guns. But drug destroying lives and families every day isn't as big and scary as a criminal with a gun, right?

Don't think they won't try. As Orwell noted in 1984, part of the party's motto was "ignorance is strength". They've been working on that for years through the public indoctrination system. Good to see from some of the young guys posting here that they're having only limited success :)

With a hand gun, the frame is the serialized part, correct?

Those like the Sig with replaceable "human interface" (the polymer component ), or Grip, still has to be attached to a serialized frame. (P320 ) (or self made - perhaps machined from an 80%)

So, Where did that come from?

The lower part, also known as the frame, was purchased from the state of Washington, and the upper portions on eBay.
Did the State of Washington sell this component? If so, can I get one too?

Thats not a loophole. It was illegal for him to be in posession of the firearm. Breaking the law is not a "loophole".

I called BS on public school in middle school, sad part is i couldnt find many teachers that disagree with me on how poor the curriculum is. We "learned" about the constitution in one class senior year. Glad most of what i learned was on my own cuz school sure didnt teach me much, but hey i know how to use a calligraphy pen! The curriculum has bias but many of the teachers i had did not promote bias but free thought which i guess i got lucky with.

In my experience alot of people my age arent against guns, they just dont care enough about them to be against anti-gun policies. Im not really sure how to approach that

In California they reduced the felony charge of Intentionaly infecting another person with hiv/aids to a misdemeanor. . That is assault with a deadly weapon ,If they go to a orgy thats a' mass murder. And they want to ban guns to save lives ? .These people are unhinged

Personally, if I was planning to do dirt with a weapon (whether I built it not), I'd make sure the F'er worked.

Let see, how many times have you heard of bad guy's weapons malfunctioning? A lot.
