The people who own the business are in control? If you want an OS that does only what you like on a network that you like, you are perfectly welcome to develop your own. I see it's downloaded to devices but it isn't activated by default and requires an additional app you willingly install to work. Kind of like how my device thinks I give enough of a rip about the NFL to have an unremovable fantasy football app from the factory. Not a big deal, I just don't use it
