At the risk of offending our fragile and sensitive leftist readers, as well as the virtue-signallers who falsely claim there isn't much difference the 2 major political parties, I present you with the positions of Vladimir Putin-endorsed Comrade Kamala on entering your home to inspect your gun storage setup:

Election day is coming. Time to wake up!

Sometimes...
It ain't a matter of what you say....it's how you say it , that is the problem.

In any event...yes election day is coming up.
Look into those who are running for office....and vote wisely.
I would say to vote for those who speak for you...however...I ain't found any who truly speak for me.

Elections do have consequences.

I've been saying for years one of the things they want is home inspections of storage facilities like they have in some countries in Europe.

In WA state this particularly scary. A WA law passed in 2018 authorizes the state to require yearly background checks for anyone owning a gun. It is currently unfunded thank goodness but it won't be forever. Under the law a gun owner can be denied for any reason (that is specifically stated in the law). If it is denied the owner must turn in their guns or they will be confiscated. In m-home storage inspections is one thing WA could pass at the drop of a hat. And if they fund the yearly mandatory background checks, which is already law, refusing the in home visit would mean confiscation.

What is the law's number, or the citation of same in RCW?

I need to look into this, since I generally pay pretty good attention to shiit like this when it hits the floor in Olympia and I don't recall this bill getting past me...

Here's the relevant portion. Can't recall the name of the law but woudl be easy to find. Was passed in 2018.

Edit: found it. Section 15

Fast forward in your mind to the future where WA government is more anti-gun than now, and you can see the means for confiscation is already there. They can add in-home inspections or any of a range of new laws which can provide them a reason to confiscate. If this existing law is funded, WA citizens will need to show they meet all requirements (which they can add new ones at any time) to pass the background check to continue to own their guns for that year.

Thanks, ILG. This BS is highly disconcerting... :(

ETA after your own edit:
I remember this POS law now. This BS was born of that böölscheet initiative I-1639 that passed into law against anyone's better judgement and senses... :(

My hope is that their true WA state "actionable" registry of who owns what guns starts with the new permit process, and that gun owned before that will be harder to find or verify that it is still owned. My hope is that guns bought earlier are more protected.

I do see in the future more and more every year gun owners will be more demonized. So that in the future the step to things like in home inspection and confiscation will feel "normal" to the metro WA voting block. I hope I'm wrong and significant scotus decisions in the meantime can make that very hard for them to do so there is hope in that.

Nov 5, 2024 will determine what happens in the US Supreme Court. A couple of the conservative justices are getting older and may retire. If the openly anti-gun party takes over the Senate and the WH, Comrades Harris and Walz could essentially end the 2nd Amendment without using the amendment process by adding more anti-gun justices, which is what they have been saying they want to do. The USSC isn't going to save the 2A unless we take away Democrats power on Nov 5.

Great post! You exposed both a candidate and a troll.

That's an absurd comparison and you know it. I don't mean to be less than excellent here, but I gotta call this one out.

I'm sorry, but ridiculous stuff like this boils me. It's completely disingenuous. Leftists love to trot out these arguments for the purpose of confusing the issue. They hate (R) candidates for other, non 2A reasons, and want us to hate them too.

I don't particularly like the current republican candidate, but on the grand scale of 2A presidential actions, the bump stock thing is about a -2, whereas nominating good judges is a 10.

Don't even pretend to insinuate that Harris is the better choice when it comes to 2A. It's completely disingenuous and betrays your bias. It also shows just how dumb you think we are.

Added- I notice that a couple of other known leftist members liked your post. That alone should tell us something.

I would say to vote for those who speak for you...however...I ain't found any who truly speak for me.
Maybe consider voting against those who speak so harshly against you...

So it's pretty much prima nocta handmaid's tale dystopia. yay
Nah, that's more Fahrenheit 451 or maybe the movie Brazil, Handmaid's Tale would be more like one of the candidates advocating for one state to have the power to change laws in other states and the federal .gov having the authority to force the second state to accept that.

But that's just silly, no one would advocate for that. . .

Yeah your are completely correct. I meant it as satire.

But when you reference "known leftists" it makes it clear that this thread is only sort of about guns.
