A friend of mine has a Colt Single Action Army .357 Mag that he is looking to get rid of and brought it by for me to take a look at. What do you guys know about them? Any idea of value? From what I found with a little searching is that it is a second generation made in 1965 or so. The pistol does have some wear, which looks to be from spending time in a holster. I know some of you out there have vast amounts of knowledge so any input would be appriciated. I snapped a few pics, see below:

1966 according to serial number.

Worth around $1400 for that serial number range based on pictures but could change with an accurate depiction of condition.

Could be more if he has the original box also.

Maybe I am reading it wrong but according to the below site, it looks like it is a 1965 production. The serial number 41,373SA is prior to the 1966 production. As I read it, 1966 started with number 41,500SA. Am I reading it wrong?

Serial Number Data

OOps your right, but the value is still there. This is coming from the blue book for that serial range.
