I have a large 3500psi tank and it has refilled my PCP many times.

Quite. A single fill on a large (80CF tank)... can last a long time with smaller tanked PCP's. I think going the compressor option is generally in lieu of the expense of a large reserve tank from the get-go, or for those of us with larger, high psi PCP's.

Ie., Mine is equipped with a 3650psi CF tank. I'm not able to get a full pressure fill from a standard reserve tank (3000psi) and even fills from a high pressure (4500) tank are limited. Instead of going with a single $200-$250 HP tank it makes more sense, for me, to go with a $270-$300 compressor.

Depending on the size of a guys PCP and how often they shoot will certainly change the "break even" point, but it's something to consider. Convenience alone, for me, weighs heavily. I don't always know when, or how much shooting I plan to do... but when I wanna shoot... I WANNA get my shot on! :D
