OK, another newbie-to-casting question please?

Since there is just .002 inch difference in a 9mm and 38/357 bullet, could I run some .358 (357/38) cast bullets through the .356 (9mm) sizing die and use them in a 9mm?

FWIW, they are round nose 140 grn with a single lube groove. They are already lubed. They aren't the type which takes a gas check.

Thanks!

That should work, just be careful in working up your loads.
Nines are sensitive to bullet infringment of the case cap. ie. if the bullet is pushed back into the case before firing, it
can lead to higher pressures.
I suspect that a heavier than average bullet(longer) could do the same.

I'am thinking motoman98 is talking about 150gr or so bullets that you would have to seat deeper to fit your mag. 9mm can be taper crimped but I myself dont think you'll need too. I shoot SWC in my 9mm and my 45ACP never had any problem with the bullet moving I just run a brush down the barrel every two mags. I also have read and believe that a faster burning powder is better with lead. any way just my .02's
