So I have this scope on a rifle and not sure what the markings on the manification dial are in reference to? I get the yardage, just not the 3 colors and letters. Any help is appreciated.

Figured it out. A buddy did some research and the DEA stands for Deer, Elk and Antelope. There are two cross hairs one above the other and based on what you are hunting when the two cross hairs line up on back and stomach it tells you the distance so that you can adjust the scope correctly. Apparently it is about 25 years old.

Hope this helps someone else.
