The OP went with DEL-TON factory built rifle. I would have gone parts build at minimum, pre-built lower and upper only because of I-639. NICS is soon going away (state is taking over BCG) for 'other' on 4473.

All things considered? Figure out exactly what you want and have either a qualified builder do it or perhaps a top tier manufacture.

I have built a few of the Delton kits. Some came with a Spikes lower reciever. You can upgrade to chrome lined barrel for $35 . It's not built as well as the Daniel Defense I have but the Deltons are fine for home defence. Never had a problem with one. One of the carbines I tested shot 1" groups at 100 yards with cheap ammo.
