Birchwood Casey Lead Removing Cloth

What exactly is on/in a Birchwood Casey Lead Removing Cloth? The stuff smells so good, it makes me almost want to stop wearing the old Hoppe's #9 as cologne.

Seriously though, what is the cloth treated with, and how does it remove lead? I know the cloth is also supposed to work as a polishing compound, and it just might. Every time I rub down a stainless pistol with the cloth, the cloth comes up black. Is it magic?
