Looks like they ahead of schedule,
We citizens must be 65 or disabled to get this ;

Oregon lawmakers pass bill to make illegal immigrants eligible for Medicaid, Dem gov expected to sign into law

No. You are mixing up Medicare with Medicaid. Any citizen of any age can get Medicaid if they qualify (income, etc.), whereas any person who paid into Social Security can get Medicare once they reach 65 (in fact, they pretty much are required to unless they are still working and have employer provided insurance).

That's fine and dandy but if they're not citizens then they don't get it in my opinion (medicaid) My son is autistic and also has several severe health issues and Medicaid wouldn't even give him a single ounce of help or one penny! And he is fifth generation American born and raised! So screw them, they (demoscums) know full well that those people will be more likely to vote for them and keep them in power if they give them free stuff and let them suck off the government teet!

Simple premise here:

1. Not enough jobs here for the amount of people as it is. (A large majority that's not mentioned in this debate is women supplanting men for positions ever since the advent of the feminist movement).
2. Constantly allowing the immigration of individuals from throughout the world (Not just the people from the southern border)
3. Politicians in general especially the Democrats (and their elitist puppet masters ) continuing to allow massive immigration knowing these facts.
4. Democrats knowing these facts and allowing it to happen knowing full well that it'll make more people severely dependent upon the government for sustenance and housing and bringing us closer to their socialist utopia. (But ultimately the main goal is speach suppression, power and control).

And after all that is said and done we can understand why they so desperately want to take guns away from people.

The gangs, crime, the hopelessnes and homelessness; everything is surrounded by the fact that there are not enough jobs for the amount of people that are here and as long as this continues it's only going to get worse and worse and when it starts to go critical then that's when the government will declare martial law and then all bets are off when it comes to owning guns anymore, we all saw what happened after Hurricane Katrina.

This is not true. There a many many businesses/companies that can't find anyone who wants to work. And those that they hire, the majority seem to be flakes. And NOW? There are those that get the job, and don't show up, because all they needed was a piece of paper that said they had a job for an apartment? That's one. Or to to satisfy the employment bureau so they can keep getting free money. Granted, a lot of these jobs may not be $50,000.00 a year jobs. BUT, young people aren't even dependable workers. Those in the 19-25 year old's are somehow living life without have to work!

Viable jobs that can help you live a comfortable life and have relatively secure surroundings are not part of the ones you are mentioning. Yes there are a lot of shi_t jobs out there that people do not want but that's exactly why they don't want them because they are shi_t jobs that don't pay anything. Which makes it a bastion for illegal immigrants.

In 50+ years of working, no employer ever gave me some piece of paper to show I was employed unless I showed up for at least one pay period, and that piece of paper was a pay stub. Generally landlords require more than one paystub and will do a credit check too. Or they require proof of other income or wealth. If they don't, then they are idiots.

That is not how unemployment benefits work. You must be employed for a minimum amount of time and make a minimum amount of $ in order to get benefits, and those benefit amounts and weeks paid out, are based on how much you made and how long you worked. Also, the "base year" (that determines your benefits) starts back 18 months (or maybe 16 months - I forget), so if you work a week and then get laid off, it won't show up in the "base year" for at least 3+ months. If you quit or are fired for reason then you probably won't get benefits at all.

Even $50,000 a year is barely enough for one person to live on considering the cost of living (granted this is depending upon what part of the country you live in of course)

It depends on location yes, but also your situation. My cost of living before I moved to Oregon from Everett, WA was under $15K per year. I paid $650/mo rent for a 2 bedroom duplex (I just asked my friend who still lives there and the rent has almost doubled to $1100/mo). Total costs - food, rent, etc. - were $1200 per month. That was until 2011.

Currently I live on a social security income of $2400/month, which covers my mortgage (1700 SF on 20 acres with a 2K SF shop), food, insurance, meds, utils and transportation. So I do well on less than $30K per year.

Anything beyond that is discretionary spending (guns, ammo, etc.). I currently also have UI benefits (I do a job search/etc.), but those $ are going to paying for a new roof for the kids house.

bubblegum jobs? They are jobs. 16-22 year olds aren't capable of doing brain surgery, or what I guess you would define as, "Not a bubblegum job". You're supposed to start your work life in the neighborhood of 16 years old. People with no particular skill or talent don't work these days. If they do get the job they are too lazy, or it could be addle-brained or stupid? I'm telling you, you don't ever talk to people that need employees but can't find anybody that will work. They are all over. "bubblegum Job" indeed! not a lot of call for "Rose Sniffers" at $75,000.00 per year. 20 hours a week, we wouldn't want their job to be poopie.

Cost of living is going up as inflation is here. If it holds true to form then in about 4 years nobody will have any money.

Enjoy life every day like it's your last day on earth is my opinion.

All I know is the kids, I'll call them that, are terrible employees, IF you can get them to even show up for scheduled shifts for a two week period. And I don't know WHY they get the job, the paperwork, and then never show up for their first day. Or work a 24hour weekly schedule and then, quit showing up. It doesn't matter other than Wifey has to live with the attitude of these lazy slugs practically five days a week. because SHE has to pick-up those lazy entitled brats slack! A lot of these people have kids!

I second that. My wife has two kids by a previous marriage. They have NO incentive to work. They can collect money from the government for not working and when they get a job, they usually don't make it to the end of the probationary period. "Mommy' has them dependent upon her and Uncle Scam for their living.

I'm sure that $15.00/hr minimum wage Biden will get for 'em will solve the problem! They'll be working and out of moms basement and have their own condo in a nice neighborhood in no time!

I can't speak for those people. I would assume they have some other form of support (parents?). Single mothers have a hard time of it - childcare is sometimes more than they make on a job, so it is hard to blame them for accepting gov help (although I can fault them for letting some flake get them pregnant though).

I know one lady who has worked 2 jobs to support support her family, and worked really hard. He ex won't pay child support or even talk to his kids. Now she takes care of two kids that are pre-school and abandoned by their parent (ex spouse of her child) who does drugs and leave the kids alone, while her daughter is off working in the oil fields several states away.

I worked on the farm since I was six years old. When I was old enough (15 or 16) I worked in canneries during the summer. Until I was 23 and enlisted, I had a hell of a time getting min wage temporary work to support a wife (now ex) and child - I worked whatever job I could find, from literally shoveling s*** (mushroom factory) to picking cherries (paid better than the mushroom job and was better conditions) to working in canneries, delivering furniture, mobile home factories, planting, harvesting and sorting trees, choker setter - whatever I could find, none of them lasted more than 6 months due to the seasonal nature of the work.

Now I couldn't do any of those jobs even if I wanted to - I am only fit for office work. I have a fixed income and savings, so I do okay, but stuff happens so I try to be frugal. If things work out with selling my property, then I should be doing even better.

But I have been there done that with being poor and looking for any crap job in order to meet my responsibilities.
