Hello there y'all, so recently a buddy of mine came across an old buttsock and complete breach assembly to an antique double barrel shotgun all except it's missing its barrel and foregrip. What I was wondering is it possible to interchange the barrel with another make or would it even be possible to build one myself with minimal machining skills?

It's a N.R. Davis & Sons ajax double barrel side by side shotgun. I do believe it was a 12 gauge or would like it to have been at least from my research. The pictures I found of it just look so cool of a shotgun and think it would make a great display piece or even a nice shooter for that matter. Anyhow, any help would be appreciated very much, thanks.
