When a person purchases a firearm from a dealer in Oregon, he has to fill out a 4473 Form provided by the BATF. The seller then calls the Oregon State Police who do 3 checks - Federal, State and - believe it or not - a credit check! I believe that the credit check is only to help establish identity - going bankrupt will not disqualify you. If there is nothing on the State or Federal check that disqualifies you, you can purchase the firearm.
My BS meter is going wild!
