Government is by it's nature a self-propagating organism that thrives on getting larger and larger as a measure of it's success. If one, who is part of this life form (Paul for example) attempts to curtail expansion, they are marginalized by the other members who fear loosing their position and power in the resulting purge. It's a bureaucracy (a system of administration marked by officialism, red tape, and proliferation).

The ATF has gained more power with a (In)Justice Department run by Holder and empowered by Obama. Where will it end? We can only speculate, but if it is a "house of cards" and it collapses it will not be a pleasant experience for anyone.

They absolutely have everything already---this isn't about info. It's all about reconditioning America to disabuse itself of self reliance, specifically in this case the ability to defend your life. All the rights have been trashed but this one in particular will always be a wild card to the oppressors. That's why our founders put it at the top of the list.

back to the original topic. Wouldn't the NSA already have most of this data, anyway? I mean, they sit there in Maryland and do something....

Self reliance is great until it becomes selfishness and lack of willingness to fight for the greater good and liberty

Interestingly. A friend of mine was discussing the idea of putting something like this together to track government action and movement.

A "Massive database" that could show who was where when who died.

When someone dies (or gets thrown in jail, or accused of a crime etc) were they connected to any politicians?

Once the database was populated enough (and it could populate itself given time to scour the net) you could paint a pretty accurate picture of who is doing what and why.

Some smart people have said that there is no going back to privacy and the only solution is total transparency of government and corporations. So the tech works both ways. Otherwise, we're done for.

All they have to do is link facebook and twitter. Every other idiot on there has posted personal info about themselves, their family and friends.

True but that's voluntary, not stolen. Think search engines like Google who already work w the gov. Remember when Google got busted for collecting payload information from unencrypted Wi-Fi networks from those "Street View" cars? Pretty much everything you type and every site you visit the feds know about. ATF now gets in on that info too.

One of the many problems here is we aren't discussing the IRS or NSC who have more important things to do, this is the out-of-control ATF with it's trigger-happy door-busting tactics, and it might be one of our doors if we type something they don't like.

Plus they sometimes bust down the wrong door.... Oops. But they rarely say "Sorry" cause they don't have too, they have the power of the gov behind them.

Hey, maybe they're just snooping into a neighboring countries drug cartels to raid. They KNOW that they have illegal weapons and the ATF wants to get em back. Hahahaha just joking.

Edit: Can we forget about the David Koresh tangent. I know he was a megalomaniac nutcase but I don't know for sure about teen sex. What I DO KNOW is the Feds shot at, pinned down, and burned out the "Victims" they were "trying to save" so I don't buy their story for one sec.

Proof? Or do you just swallow narrative?

Well, since he had 13 y.o. wives, that would technically be regarded as being a pedophile. But, maybe that's just me. The important part is that that crime, if it did happen, was investigated by DPS and not prosecuted. Further, it is not in the ATFE's business to investigate.

Such matters are indeed not the purview of the ATF of the FBI. It's an intentional sidetrack

Of course it was, just like Janet Reno saying she authorized the final assault to "save the kids"....who wound up dying because of her "final assault"....

They were all dead the day the ATF got there in the beginning, was just a matter of time.

I know how it's gonna sound, but that means: THEIR HERE !
