I think we just need to stop fighting among ourselves and get back on topic here. It's a horrible tragedy and everyone is upset. I can understand why people would be upset to see these images. I won't speak for myself (seen enough ugly photos), but I do think the politically correct liberal apologists should view some of these pictures, because people need to see what terrorism looks like and not received watered down versions of the events.

Sadly, I think it will take people seeing their own sons,daughters, fathers, mothers , brothers and sisters massacred for them to finally wake up and realize the horrors of the world we face and how we are being complacent. It took Pearl Harbor to finally wake up America that the expanding war in Europe and Asia was a personal threat to them. Many people forgot all the peace marches and anti-war protests that occurred during WWII. Does anyone remember, "No More European Wars"? Those peach marches came to an abrupt end when Pearl Harbor was attacked and Americans were butchered on their own soil.

Let's not forget the famous Neville Chamberlain speech when he finally made peace with Chancellor Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany and everyone celebrated!

Yeah, I hate to say it, but our liberal, naive and overly apologetic dove like society who constantly wants to make peace with people who have sworn to kill us, there seriously needs to be a wake up call.. One of the Syrian refugees they allowed into the country repaid their gesture of goodwill by shooting and maiming the very same French people who hosted him, paying for him to come leave his "war-torn country" and become a French citizen. Can you see the gratitude these immigrants have towards their hosts?

And, as of now, Obama and Trudeau (Canada's new socialist/pro-Islamic leader) have vowed to bring in another 100,000 or more immigrants from war-torn Syria.

Yes, I think it will take some people seeing bloodshed on their own soil and watching people that are close to them die or be wounded for them to wake up and realize there is a very viable threat facing them. Liberals of our society live in a little fantasy land and fake Disneyland world reality that everyone gets along in the end and there is a happy ending. WWII happened for a reason and diplomacy didn't end the war, but carnage, bloodshed and devastating the enemies did. That war ended with Germany being decimated to almost oblivion and Japan being nuked.

I also personally believe France's strict gun control and disarmament of its law-abiding citizens contributed to yesterday's massacre. The type of long-standing, well-coordinated attack on Paris may not have possibly worked as well in a city like Knoxville, TN or Billings, MT, as there would have been people possibly shooting back at the terrorists. They would have not had to wait hours for special operation units to organize themselves and come out to stop the massacre. Although, in this day and age, most law-abiding people living in our inner liberal cities choose to be disarmed.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. I think however, when we use situations like this (let alone before all the bodies are even counted or facts released) to launch into gun advocacy propaganda, we are no more credible or honorable than the gun control proponents we criticize.

There's a time and a place. And why do some of us continue to pontificate to no end, the ideas and facts we already agree on?

It's a firearms forum, we are (most) here because of our love of firearms and in support of the second ammendment etc.

I respect your sentiments SIg.. But, I think many people here are turning this into a political issue, because our rights are constantly being threatened, not to mention our "so-called" leader is advocating for the import of tens of thousands of refugees from these hostile countries promoting this violence while at the same time making calls to disarm Americans and ban firearms that these terrorists have no problem acquiring themselves. Basically, he wants to turn the USA into France.

Another reason people here are speaking up for our rights, is as much as we feel sorry for the French people who lost their lives, I think people here are more concerned of this event happening on our own soil. I, myself, and others I think are more focused on preventing an attack like this on our own soil and having one of our own family members killed than we are concerned about mourning the loss of lives in France.

It pains me, but my first response about reading one of these shootings on the news is worrying about the people I love most, my family and friends. Mourning the loss of innocent lives should be done, but I believe a pro-active approach. I'm not against people being pro-active rather than simply mourning those who were slaughtered defenselessly. I come from a long line of people who were helplessly massacred, including my grandmother's entire village in Belarus during WWII.

I guess, as for me, I am tired of mourning and being a victim, solutions and defending the liberties that prevent these tragedies take precedence to me.

In the last fifteen minutes it has been raised to 132.

98 of the more than 200 victims in numerous hospitals around Paris are in critical/life-threatening condition.

Many of the victims, alive and dead, have not yet been identified, and this morning one anguished father gate-crashed a public walkabout by the Prime Minister, demanding more action to find his daughter, who was last seen lying wounded in the street.

I was shocked to hear that at the Democratic debate after the attack that the most viable solutions the Democrat candidates could come up with to battle the terror problem would be the need to import 65,000 more SYrian refugees, one who already was verified to be one of the attackers in Paris.

Banning guns from law abiding American citizens, raising taxes on the working class/business owners (the rich) and importing Syrian refugees seems to be the game plan for the Democrats. What a scary world we will live in if one of these deranged loons gets into power.

I don't care how much you hate any Republican candidate in the past, but if you think voting for one of these three Democrats (after listening to their last debate) who wants to push a gun ban and import 65,000 more potential terrorists, cares about our national security and can help prevent these attacks on US soil, you are living in a very convoluted and twisted fantasy world.

You would have thought after these attacks that one of these idiots could have had been a little level-headed. The O'Malley guy was the worst, not that Clinton and Sanders were far behind, saying that we should import 100,000s and that it is insane to correlate Islam at all with terrorism..

Considering a truck belonging to the terrorists was found full of Kalashnikovs in France and one of the terrorists has been confirmed as a Syrian refugee, I think we have proven that neither Assault Weapon Bans, nor importing 100,000s of refugees will prevent mass murders. As well, I am yet to hear any names of any non-Islamic/non-Arabic guys on the list of terrorists in the assault. Seriously, how come all these guys have Arabic sounding names? I am not saying there is any correlation to Islam and terrorism here. Outside of the one nutjob in Norway who actually killed people in a political party for supporting Islamic immigration (ironically, very pissed off insane native?), I have yet to hear of any sizable terrorist attacks carried out in Europe by local Europeans, Buddhists, Hindus, SIkhs, Jews, Catholics or Protestants.

Well there's a lot of ways to look at that.
I think Obama is bucking to let out tens of thousands of criminals shortly and this would tie in with their wanting to let in hundreds of thousands of murderous and needy thugs.
There is such a thing as "lag time" and "poison pill".. once this is done, it will be oh so easy for the dems, after they lose this coming November, to then say "See, we were right all along.. look at the absolute mayhem that this newly elected clown has brought you!".
And then of course all those people need what they are selling.. housing, school, medical.. the full pull. It justifies their very reason to exist, governmentally speaking.
I think it's interesting that England does break down by actual race etc. who is on the/their dole. It's very interesting and plain to see blatant parasitism. Sadly, we don't do that.. not that that got the UK anywhere.

You know, in the past, I would have definitely thought that such talk was indeed crazy. But I fully agree with your statements here. How on earth could anyone possibly be that dumb?

Did you watch the Democratic debate Saturday? It was absolutely frightening to listen to the candidates. Clinton and Sanders tried to outdo each other on both the subject of gun control, and also bringing Syrian refugees into our country. After Clinton called for tough new gun laws and restrictions, Sanders replied by saying that we needed to come up with a new "Radical" approach to gun control. Although he failed to explain just what he meant by that. But the fact that he called for "radical" change was most telling, in my opinion.

And Clinton definitely wants to bring at least 65,000 Syrians into our country. Sanders would not even put a number on limiting how many he would bring in. He seemed to imply that he would have no limit on how many he might allow into the country. He argued that we have a "moral obligation" to take these Syrians refugees in. Both of them insisted that the Syrians would all be "vetted", so that only good Muslims would be let in.

I just don't think that they could possibly be this stupid and ignorant. Unless one can prove that they are both suffering from some kind of mental illness, I think that there must be some kind of agenda behind them both taking these stances.
