assisted opening knives

Is it legal to have an assisted opening knife in the state of Washington, not full auto, but I guess they call them spring assisted. Any info would be great, thanks

As long as you have to touch the blade to make it open your good.

I don't think gravity knives are legal.

Stuff like the kershaw assisted openers are good to go.

As others mentioned this is take it for what it's worth. I "think" some are. I carry one. Reading the law it "looks" to me like there is size restrictions. Some to my read would be illegal to conceal. Then there is also city law to look into. I carry one all the time. Since I don't get stopped and searched not to worried about it. If I had to use one and they wanted to make a "deal" out of it I would deal with it then.

LOL, me too. I did not notice this until I just read your's. This happens a lot where someone will respond to something so I don't even see that they are responding to something years old. What the heck, still makes for interesting conversations and new people come in here all the time.

Yeah, I like it too. As some laws change, it's not a bad idea to re-visit them. Same goes for most things.
