That certainly remains to be seen.

I remain amused by how some who now reside in Montana make their patronizing remarks to those of us remaining behind enemy lines. It's easy, in a state with a population of only a little over one million with nasty winters to boot, where far fewer folks conside migrating from California or other locales that have since become despoiled, to deride Washington gun owners as being weasels who let the incoming Californians and illegal immigrants take over while being too apathetic to vote for our rights.

Hubris.

Some of us here have worked our freakin' asses off trying to maintain our 2A rights. "Manginas?" Screw you.

Blaming Californians is a straw man argument. The culture has been changing across the nation for decades There were tons of liberals in Portland and Seattle long before California migration happened. The real fault lies with everyone who didn't keep the traditions alive, who didn't fight gun laws even when they didn't affect them.
I am from California and the people there blame everyone who migrated to the state for the taxes and stupidity. It's easier than asking "What could I have done to fight this?" Toward the end of my time there (summer 2016), the CA state legislature passed a series of anti-gun bills collectively known as Gunmageddon.
That fall, I was one the knotheads who spent his time trying to gather petition signatures to get propositions on the ballot to overturn Gunmageddon. We failed miserably. Why? Because for every signature we got we had 10 people refusing to sign for reasons such as "I'm not political" or "I don't want to get on a list." and worst "I'm not registered to vote." And this was at a table set up at a gun shop! This wasn't illegal immigrants or people on the street refusing to sign. No it was gun owners actively not wanting to get involved. I will also add here that not all of the gun shops would even let us set up tables at all. Compare that to folks like Dan @Sporting Systems or that fellow with the shop in Federal Way. Guys who are putting their livelihoods and possibly their freedom on the line to fight 1639 or the magazine ban.

Blame Californians or Jehovah Witnesses or Martians if you want but the real truth is this: We gun owners are our own worst enemies.

A classmate once said a very true statement; the country shaped as a bowl and the PNW is the bottom. All the fruits and nuts tends to roll here. We are just trying to survive from drowning.

I was born and raised in central Washington. Lived in California for forty years. Have always had family in Washington and Oregon. Now live in Vancouver. By a LARGE margin the most liberal, brain dead, no logic people I know were born and raised right here in Washington and especially Oregon. No contest. In fact, I have RARELY ever met anyone from the Portland or Seattle area who was not a stone cold liberal at heart.

Facts: Single women voters voted 2:1 for Measure 114, more than any other demographic. They also delivered the Senate back to the Democratic party last Fall. The Roe v. Wade decision turned them out en masse. I don't know why people refuse to see this.

The most libtarded marxist brain dead people in my neighborhood are overeducated upper middle-class whites born in Oregon and Washington. These are people with generational wealth who have everything they will ever need. Half of them work in non-profit or government. And they are all "on message" about guns and everything else. The people who moved here from other states are much less militant about their political views. Especially people from the Southeast and Southwest.

It was all part of the process. They learned in 1994' if you go full retard in one swing consequences come fast. But slowly over time they can do it. This all started as a result of trump getting elected . The domino effect was we lost the one republican that kept these votes from getting to the floor in Olympia. I hope it was worth it. Just like 1639 and mag ban this will pass this year. They are willing to risk political careers. Career politicians republicans are not 🤷🏼‍♂️

Given that they keep getting reelected what are they risking?

Some text from the 1180 bill...Who's the moron that wrote this sh!t? Underlines by me.

Moreover, the legislature finds that assault weapons are not suitable for self-defense and that studies show that assault weapons are statistically not used in self-defense. The legislature finds that assault weapons are not commonly used in self-defense and that any proliferation is not the result of the assault weapon being well-suited for self-defense, hunting, or sporting purposes.

The legislature finds that the gun industry has specifically marketed these weapons as "tactical," "hyper masculine," and "military style" in manner that overtly appeals to troubled young men intent on becoming the next mass shooter.
The above is in the 1st 2 pages.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 6. This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or support of the state government and its existing public institutions,

Don't you just love, "The legislature finds" bs? Why they don't say, "I find" & put their name to it?

Maybe try a spelling test first
The Marist (Society of Mary) branch of our government?
What, exactly, is a Constisitional republic?
