Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
As kits dry up, as well as the "barrel ban" Ak prices will continue to rise. Part of what made them so cheap was the influx of demilled rifles that were availble to build from....US manufacturers have stepped up and made new barrels, but they are more expensive, which of course ads to the cost of the rifle. There are rifles out there sold as 100% US made, but they are expensive, and not up to par ( IMO ) to a combloc made example, or one made here from combloc parts..
ARs have had the benefit of being a popular domestically prodruced product...the more you make, the cheaper they can be produced...
