It looks ok. You could just take the guts out of a PMAG though. They already come with a cap, it would just be more trouble to get stuff in and out of.

Which is why it's made larger than the mag-well. Obviously larger.

A small format, portable cleaning kit that fits in the same pouch a standard AR mag will?

Theoretical Need This Thing Fulfills;

a) Don't need to place it in a pack
b) Fast accessibility for expedient cleaning of a weapon
c) Don't need to buy a pouch for it
d) It cleans guns

That's all I have off the top of my head. The purpose, and I'm inferring, appears to be that active soldiers can get one of these so they'll have it readily available and can outfit their loadout more efficiently.
