FWIW, shipyards had excess lead for years and years. Several of the radiation shielding companies were buying it by the truckload for awhile. Lancs was able to get it for pennies on the pound when disposal costs were higher than the value on the market.
 
So how much a pound does it come out to be?
Then is it small enough for the average guy to handle?

Indeed! And I want to know how a seasoned member gets to the point of finding such a thread? and then posting on it? I don't heap scorn on the members that delve into the long past. I do find it interesting though. :D
