The Hill on Hillary: 'Gun control advocates have high hopes'

The Hill is reporting this morning that "gun control advocates have high hopes for Hillary Clinton's presidential run, viewing her as an ally who can finish the push for tightened background checks that has stalled in President Obama's second term."

<broken link removed>

I'm kinda rooting for her to win the Primary. A lot of dirt has recently surfaced on her and Bill. Treasonous stuff, Uranium to Russia for example. Pay to play Politics.
Her and Obama's "Arab Spring" is a total failure, a lot of blood on her hands as S.O.S.
She would get creamed in the General election, the MSM is really starting to turn on her. They want E. Warren, Gov. Brown of CA. or maybe Kerry who knows?
Warren as President scares the heck out of me! She's way left of our Gov. I don't even want to think about how she would gut the 2ndA.
Be careful what you wish for.

Why not just vote Republican instead of praying that the Socialist Gun Grabber Progressive Democrats don't cash in on all the hatred of the GOP that keeps "Socially Liberal" Firearms enthusiasts home ...

Well for one not all republicans are pro gun...Not all democrats are anti. So I will vote for whoever has our back the best rather than making a choice based on R or D next to the name...seems crazy but I am a crazy guy!

80 % of Elected Democrats on a Local, State & National Level are Anti-2A/RTKBA, 75% of Elected Republicans on a Local State & National level are ardent supporters of 2A/RTKBA so you equivocating them is disingenuous and you sound like an enabler of all the problems you guys face in Oregon & Washington State. We know what the Democrats are in California...

Doing research on who you vote for rather than just checking the name that fits your party is the wise thing to do to avoid future problems. I see it as if you just check a box based on the party YOU are the one causing the problems..Done with this. If we are going to talk politics fine but if we just want to throw made up numbers around it is far from interesting to me.
Even if those numbers are true those are as you said "elected people". Voting for a new person means they have yet to be elected and you should do some research rather than just blindly checking every R you see....and I am the problem??!!

Doubting my numbers and continuing to give cover to Democrats and the problems they are CURRENTLY causing in Oregon & Washington State by proclaiming that The Republicans are just as responsible for the pending & current Firearm Restrictions you guys face is either Denial or you are a Socially Liberal Democrat voter who just can't bring yourself to EVER vote GOP.

Are you kidding or just nuts??!! Re read my posts and then yours and try to figure out how you managed to completely ignore what I said and type in some nutty stuff. Seriously a person who wants their rights to remain has to be calm and be able to talk to both sides. Otherwise you are just a ranting nut who gets good gun owners and citizens a bad name...good luck with that.

BTW as we have talked about many times here...Polls are Bull Crap!!! All of them are based on whoever came up with the polls agenda. Your numbers mean nothing but your comments just go to show why I do research rather than just checking a party. Thanks for providing an example of that for me.

Unless you personally have read about each elected official you are spouting someone that made those numbers agendas as fact.

I'll vote for who the 'ell I feel like and don't care about the consequences. Libertarian vote in District 15 is an example of the power of the people! Oh wait - that didn't work out so well did it!

Your trying to convince yourself that voting Democrat is not harming 2A/RTKBA and seemingly your trying to convince others here of that also .

In what way does doing as much research on each candidate as possible mean any of that? It simply means I like to use my brain rather than spout things that make anti gunners stay anti. I would rather bring people over to gun owners side than scare the hell out of them as your posts will. You buddy are making things worse by trying to shove your agenda down someone else's throat.
People skills are key to get people to understand your side. Instead of even reading what I say and putting a bit of thought into it you immediately go into a rant with no thoughts other than I do not agree and tell ME how I feel.
The idea is pro gun. Plain and simple. If that means we roll with a Liberal or anyone else we need pro gun folks. Again we are here and complaining about who is in office because people always do exactly what you say...just check the box they are associated with and put no time into that persons real agenda.
I know quite a few people who have been in office and without a doubt their R or D means nothing a lot of the time. Their agenda is what means something. If you cannot get that part of the election process then I cannot say it another way...already said it 3 ways. Use your brain not just your pen to check that big R without knowing who the hell you are voting for.
You got your rant out and twisted my words to fit what you wanted to blurt out...hope you feel better and think hard about why folks are anti gun. They read your posts and they know there is no middle ground. That being the case we will never come to a "happy place". Need to open up our mind to ANYONE who is going to fight for all of our rights.
As is we are getting nowhere so you continue to do the same thing if you like. I for one want to see some change happen and keep all my rights rather than just rant nonsense and ignore reality.

A Progressive takeover of the Democratic party and a weakening of the Conservative faction of the Republicans, combined with an increasingly dependent on Government population has caused a major Political imbalance, especially in Oregon lately.

Carbon taxes, minimum wage Socialism, and now our gun Rights. If you could magically get a Super Majority of Republicans in the next 5 Elections you still would not see any walk back on even one Social, Environmental or GUN Law that has been implemented!

Face it, the Republicans now are the slightly left of center Party here in Oregon. they might stop any new progressive legislation or Ideas from passing, but that's about it!

Can't figure out why the Dem voters are so scared to try Voting R for a change. Are they afraid future increases in entitlements, School budgets, illegal immigration or spending on alternative Energy may slow down a tiny bit?

This State needs a breather from Progressive Politics and the unintended consequences of Knee Jerk Feel Good Ideas being crammed down our throats!
It needs a shift back towards the middle.

A anti gun republican will be pressed by the GOP to vote party line pro gun.
A pro gun democrat will be pressed by the democrat party to vote party line anti gun.
Our best bet to salvage what remains of our firearm rights is to elect the most conservative republicans we can, they'll still bow to social issues like marijuana but maintain principals on foundational rights such as self defense. :s0013:

Sadly I think she is going to end up winning but the great part about that is our nation will utterly crash and from there we can start over . This isn't a defeatist attitude I just honestly think people are so incredibly stupid and the system is so stacked that no matter how hard our efforts are to beat the left they control everything now and it's sickening By far the best thing for this nation is for our economy to crash and possibly even an outbreak or attack on our nation Though I wish for none of those things that is the only way we can get ourselves out of this hole

So, the correct answer here is to simply, blindly vote (R)? No matter what?

And way to resort to child's name calling in an adult conversation. ;)

Why is anyone who posts here with a thought processes that doesn't instantly fall in line with the Republican conservative right always get labels like that? We all know we have at least ONE common ground, can we not work towards that end instead of diving each other internally and mocking our differences in opinions?

And P. S. I wouldn't vote for Hillary if I was the deciding vote and they paid my mortgage off. I just don't think a person should vote because it says R instead of D and no other reason either.
