Here's an idea: All the rules that our government puts into law are applied to the elected/appointed officials first, and then to all of us second.
"You want Obama care? Then YOU take it-" speaking to the those that voted for it. [Hopefully you have learned of the many exemptions to this rule.]
"You want gun control? Then you and those that protect YOU are the first to abide by the law."
This seems pretty simple doesn't it? So POTUS, FLOTUS, SCROTUSes, as well as all other congressmen, as well as their personal body guards get to play by the same rules. Heck, it would be cheaper for US TAX PAYERS (who pay their salaries,) to purchase some good old flint-lock rifles as opposed to a "hi-capacity-assault-weapon."
