Very humbling experience last night. After a Dr. appointment I took my mother in law to yesterday afternoon we met my wife after her work. Her parents and we all went out to Chinese. I was wearing my USS Kittyhawk ball cap and Dick my FIL (Vietnam vet) was wearing his USAF Retired hat. When it came time to pay for the 4 of us our waitress told us the bill had been paid! A complete stranger and his son covered the whole tab. We were speechless, I then thanked and hugged them when we left. Most people would have steered clear of the guy. Big biker looking man with full sleeve tats...It goes to show, there are still caring and giving people in our country. He thanked us both for our service, I said it was our privilege. Northern California is very different from SoCal, to say the least.
