We just watched that for the first time. Probably going to be a new holiday tradition.

That particular clip was really funny for us, because the wife asked me "Is this how you feel when you watch gun stuff?"

Skates are not sharp in the typical sense, they have two 90 degree edges separated by roughly an eighth of an inch of slightly grooved metal. Yes they can cut, and even kill, but it takes nearly the full body weight of a person behind them to get them to do that. Flailing them around like some oddly shaped daggers is going to cause superficial wounds at best, and would not do anything to someone with moderately durable clothing. Even the recent murder-by-ice-skate during a hockey game only caused a shallow wound on bare flesh. The only reason it was lethal was because it was on the neck and cut the jugular.

She was laughing through the whole scene, commenting "nope!" during basically every single kill shot.

Yes dear, watching Hollywood gun stuff is exactly like that.

Actually other than the guy shooting himself in the foot, and the other guys gun going off when Santa threw the skate at him there wasn't really any 'gun stuff'.

I was not talking about this movie in particular, more like when we watch cheesy 90s action flicks with all the hilarious "gun handling" zaniness. For a movie "from the producers of John Wick" this movie had surprisingly little gun stuff. It didn't really need it, but surprising none the less.
