A good scope for a 3006 rifle?

A quick question: I live around Woodburn OR, anyone know a range in the area, where I can sight in my '06?. I dont have a spot to shoot 1-300 yrds yet until I clear my hunting land of briors/ apple trees in the lower flat lands. I think ill be finished by next weekend.

Don't know what your price range is, or if you have found your scope yet, but I am very partial to variable scopes, the leupold 3x9 comes in mil dot and also duplex, difference is $50 with duplex being cheaper. I like to use mil dot because I have created trajectory charts for rifles and if you know the approximate distance you can look at the chart and dial the scope and be on target without any hassle.
