I saw a load table that gave interesting pressure vs velocity for a 158 gr bullet over AA#9. Anyone familiar with the load or know of other interesting loads listed on one table or another? I have a 4" K-frame that seems to shoot higher velocity for a given load than my 6"--maybe closer B/C gap.

I'm not sure what table you are referring to but AA#9 works good in magnum level loads in general. When I'm developing a new load for a new caliber the three things I try to balance are the highest load density(filling the case to the bottom of the bullet with out being compressed), highest velocity and lowest pressure. That's what I do to find a starting point, or benchmark, as I test different powders/loads/bullets ect. I'll compare them to the first load and work from that known point.
