Poll: .308 or 6.5 CM Help me decide & get off the dime.

I have been looking at 308 vs cm, and they are intriguing to me. Several rifle manufacturer's are adding offerings in the cm, the Remington 700 being reported as of April 3, 2019. It appears that the cm is being driven in popularity for target shooter's, although it is supposedly growing in popularity for hunting. The cost of ammo for the 308 and cm are close compared to say the 7mm-08 which is considerably more. In time, I wouldn't be surprised if the cm and 308 become even tighter in sales of rifles and ammo. Regardless, I am of the impression that no one can go wrong with either. BTW, really insightful comments throughout the thread! If I were the OP, bbbass made an excellent excuse for driving east.
