Is it possible that someone can load 16 Ga. shorties? I was thinking 1 3/4 long. None are available commercially loaded, so I'm wondering if it can be done. Thanks and Happy New Year.

I was hoping to reduce felt recoil. Not sure cutting them down would do that. I'm after the same effect that 12 Ga. shooters enjoy firing shorties.

Thank you I'll look into the crimp tool.

Huh? That's all the 12ga ones are.

If you want to make shorties, take an empty 16ga hull, trim it to whatever length you wish +1/4" for the crimp, load with whatever recipe tickles your nipples, roll crimp with an overshot disc. Done and done.

Excellent advice, thank you.

I'll try to find a forum member that may be willing to do a few for me. I'm only set up for brass and steel cases.
