12 gauge mini shell hand loads?

Curious if anyone has done this?

I might try it myself, I've got everything I need to load up a few to try. I'll probably pull one of the factory ones apart to see what they did and measure the powder charge.

Poking around here to see if anyone has loaded up something like this?

Can't say I ever have as I've never handloaded cartridges. I have had good results with the mini-shells in general though.

I imagine the factory available stuff will be my go to, but I could probably whip up something for less per round.

Trying not to kill my wrist with my upcoming new hand cannon.

I did it once with some BP rounds as a joke for a CAS shooter who was notorious for shooting poof/tink loads. (He actually bounced rounds off a paper target/cardboard backer at one shoot.)

He didn't get the joke and actually liked them.

Don't remember the exact recipe, but used a roll crimp. Think they were about 1 1/2" and 30 gr FFFg.
